Beginning Sewing
This course is divided into five classes in two-hour sessions. You will not need your machine in the first session, which is designed to teach you about fabric, sewing machine needles, and thread. You will need a sewing machine in all of the remaining sessions. Outcomes include how to read and layout a pattern, pin and cut the pieces, sew the pieces together, and assemble a top using a McCalls pattern. The pattern will be provided in the first class. You will need your own thread and sewing tools and these are available for sale in our shop. You must be familiar with threading your machine and winding/threading your bobbin. Enrollment closes January 24, 2026.
